My mare had a foal on 9-25-08 and on 9-28-08 he died suddenly. It was a colt and he was up walking and eating fine. This is not the mare's first. She is a very good mom. My husband says that if a male cat either sprays or pees on the hay and we feed it to the mare that the baby could die from it. I have never heard that. If anyone has please fill me in on what casuse it. We have people drop off there nasty cats all the time. I just don't know.
